 FOP helps keep Jamison Mill from closing: read the article The Jamison Mill Park trail is complete, thanks to members of the Henry County Bike Club, Franklin Free-Wheelers, and SVMBA. These groups stuck in there until it was finished. Check it out with your bikes or just to hike. This completes a year and a half project with the U.S. Army of Engineers. Special thanks goes to: Jim Frith and his sons, Joe Jessee, Berndie Lunsford, Melvin Davis, Dave Wiseman, and Durwin Joyce. Many more have worked on the trail and we want to thank everybody that helped! Volunteers always needed: Call or email a board member from list below.Mission: to provide environmentally responsible use, development, and protection of the natural and recreational resources at Philpott Lake through community involvement and education. Philpott Lake areas include: Bowens Creek, Deer Island, Goose Point, Horseshoe Point, Jamison Mill, Salthouse, Mize Point, Philpott Park, Runnett Bag, Ryans Branch, & Turkey Island.
